Live-streaming Sunday services is a major priority for churches that want to grow and attract new members. Therefore, many churches today are upgrading their audio-video systems to enhance their worship services. Mansfield Church of Christ leadership approached Copano Media Group to overhaul its audio-video production and in-person congregant experience. Our company worked closely with church leadership on integrating a new video switcher system, cameras, an audio mixer board, a production desk, two LED video wall displays, and many more small enhancements. Additionally, CMG worked on cleaning up and simplifying the production environment for church volunteers and staff.
Before working with Copano Media Group, Mansfield Church of Christ had reached out to numerous audio-video integrators, however, these vendors required a project minimum of half a million to $1 million dollars. With the falling cost of live streaming equipment, project minimums of that scale are unreasonable for what can easily be done today.
Mansfield Church of Christ wanted a cost-effective system transformation that would still carry its weight in terms of production quality. In this scenario, CMG recommended Mansfield Church of Christ utilize a vMix system. When it comes to producing a simple Sunday service, vMix works perfectly as it’s easy to train staff on and very easy to keep up to date. CMG worked on all aspects of planning out a system that utilized vMix, ProPresentor, Dante, and a NovaStar LED System.
Before starting any work, Copano Media Group set an installation timeline and provided a detailed list of what items would be purchased and drawings to show what the project would entail. Additionally, CMG ensured that there would be no downtime of any equipment during the process, so church members could continue virtual worship without interruption.

- 1x vMix PC and 1x ProPresenter PC
- Media Server
- Custom-built production desk with cable management
- Server Room Cleanout and cable tray installation

- NovaStar V600 Processor and Scaler
The biggest challenge of this project was keeping service intact during installation. CMG made it a priority that no Sunday service would be interrupted. While there were some tight deadlines, the client, Mansfield Church of Christ was able to carry on services without delay.
In conclusion, this project was able to be built out for a fraction of the price other competitors were offering while at the same time returning more value to the church in terms of recruitment and spreading its message.
